I am not much of a salad person, and that’s mostly because most often they are neither that healthy nor well made, rendering them bland and tasteless. But Rawleaf is here to change that notion. Rawleaf a new company which has a farm-to-plate philosophy. They grow the produce themselves and use that produce to whip up a variety of interesting salads.

I thought of trying them out by ordering a couple of their salads in office. The delivery arrived on time and was very neatly packaged. One thing which I feel is absolutely necessary with salads is to pack the dressing separately (which they did) so that the salad leaves and other ingredients don’t wilt and lose their freshness.
I tried out the Veg Tasty Pasta Salad and the Caesar Chicken Salad. The pasta salad had fresh corn, olives and tomatoes with pasta. The dressing was a vinaigrette made with pesto and olive oil. This pasta was probably one of the best I’ve ever had. The veggies were fresh, the pasta perfectly cooked and the dressing was delicious. The Caesar Salad was also packaged very well- with the leaves, chicken, croutons and dressing all packed separately. The chicken here was juicy and well cooked, the leaves were surprisingly tasty and the croutons were perfectly crunchy, but not at all oily (I guess they were baked). The sauce here had the tang of mustard and was good enough to be had as a dip. The only problem I found was that the sauce was so thick, that it was difficult to toss the salad to mix up all the ingredients.

Overall, the salads were both great, and this place is definitely a must-try for all salad lovers!
